May sort of ran into June. Since we landed at SeaTac early Monday morning, June 1st we were pretty jet lagged, Red eye flights, not my favorites. When we arrived at J’s house we pretty much beat. We got a bite to eat. We got back to the house, turned on the TV and fell asleep.
Tuesday we picked up L and went fishing at Blackman’s Lake in Snohomish. While David and I set up L for fishing. J got lunch. Although, L didn’t catch anything David did! Surprise!
It was a very relaxing and pleasant day.

Wednesday we drove back to Eugene and medical appointments for both of us.
The big event for June was my shoulder surgery. Sometime before Christmas – I think – I fell and tore my front rotator cuff muscle, the supraspinatus. June 15th – the day before our anniversary – I had rotator cuff repair and some cartilage cleaned up in the joint from arthritic damage.

The last weekend in June our son, M , brought his two boys down. We took them – and their bikes to a local school yard to play and burn off a lot of pent up energy after a very long drive. This was followed by a trip to Round One Arcade. Where more energy was expelled. Strictly family oriented.
Autzen is a football field. Banana ball is baseball. We were sitting above center field close to the east big screen. Also, most of the Banana Ball fans are from places other than Eugene. Consequently, the closest the Uber driver could get us was half a mile away from the stadium with a 6 year old and a 4 year old and me who was 11 days post op from shoulder surgery.
We watched most of the game and accompanying entertainment on huge screens above the stands. The coolest thing about Banana Ball – for me anyway – is that it is exactly 2 hours long.
I think the boys had fun. I was beat by the time we walked across campus and Ubered Home.
M and the boys drove home to Snohomish and David and I collapsed into the love seat recliner.

The rest of June was spent with me recovering and both of us prepping for July’s adventure.
